New 6 month prob. conversion purchase law?

Post by thecs007 » 24 Apr 2017, 2:10 pm

Hi guys, just a quick question for those who know the QLD cat H licensing laws....
Obviously in the first 12 months of getting my license (which will be in December) I'll be able to purchase 1 cat H air-pistol and 1 cat H rim-fire or centre-fire. My Question is, am I able to buy for example, a 9mm handgun and then buy a .22 conversion kit for it? or is the conversion kit considered a cat H firearm?

Sorry in advance if it's a stupid question. Cheers.

Conversion kits are registered as another firearm so to speak and cant have both. I had asked about this too when in my 1st 12 months if could get a 1911 conversion package or not.
