So I wondering if semi-auto air rifles fall under class A or class C in Victoria?

Do you have it written anywhere saying that it is classed as semi-auto as in class C or D

That's pretty crap for Vic, semi automatic air rifles are Cat A here in Tasmania along with a couple of other states. It just says 'Air Rifles' on Cat A, so that rules in any type of airgun you can get.
If something doesn't work, apply rule .303!

Yea it just says "Air rifles" aswell in Victoria, hmm time to read the act again.

Only mention of Airguns in VIC is under cat A. All descriptions under C specify rimfire or shotgun.

Category A
an airgun;
a rimfire rifle (other than a semi-automatic rimfire rifle;
a shotgun (other than a pump action or semi-automatic shotgun);
any combination of a shotgun and rimfire rifle;

Category C
a semi-automatic rimfire rifle with a magazine capacity of no more than 10 rounds;
a semi-automatic shotgun with a magazine capacity of no more than 5 rounds;
a pump action shotgun with a magazine capacity of no more than 5 rounds;
a tranquilliser gun;
