Fun Topic: Manuel Belt Fed On A/B

Post by Crazy » 07 Jul 2020, 6:54 pm

For a bit of a fun topic is there anything stopping someone from getting a belt fed Manuel firearm on Cat A/B beside there pretty much being no such firearms in existence. Reason I'm asking is because i saw a guy from the UK make a bullpup belt fed lever action with a pistol grip in 44.Mag. That in itself is just to cool. Here's a link which shows him shooting it and going into detail of how it works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sU5qtmvwftY

It shows human creativity even with stupid laws. I thought it a pretty good idea and well crafted.

The belt would probably fall under the definition of a magazine. Limited to 10 rounds for cat B to unless you had a 10 round belt it wouldn't be legal.

I was thinking that a belt would be considered a magazine as well but i think WLB would get a bit pissy because a belt doesn't really have a limit. Like would importing a belt through Customs be stopped? Because at what point does it become a controlled item because depending on the belt we are taking about a line of fabric with some loops in it.

i doubt you would have a problem importing a belt
iv seen them for sale at antique shops with dummy rounds in them
a belt isnt a magazine
