Firearm certificate question

Post by Aussie_Vic » 12 Aug 2021, 6:14 pm

G'day all!

I'm turning 18 at the start of September and planning to complete my firearm course in the coming weeks when dates are back open.

Am i able to complete my certificate for an adult while i'm still 17 or do i have to wait until 18 to do it?

Cheers!

Firearm Certificates are a British thing, not here. We just have Firearm Licences.
I don't believe you can lodge an application before you turn 18.
You should be able to sit the safety course though, which you need before making an application.
