I was just on the Victorian Police Firearms site. There is a blurp about new storage requirements that have not long been introduced.

There was a link to the Firearms Act. Sooo,,,,being who I am, I like to have a current copy of Acts that relate to me.

I hit the link and download the act.
Open it up and guess what? It's the old act with the old storage requirements.

Geee, and the cops want us to be Law Abiding Firearm Owners. What a fukn laugh. " To learn more about firearms legislation"
    :sarcasm:

Needless to say, went to

https://www.legislation.vic.gov.au/in-force

and have the latest version now. Took about 30 seconds. Too technical for the cops IT department though.

I think there is a reason to leave the old crap on sight because they will come across someone who has not abided by their idiocy and take the Lot don't get me wrong I am not totally anti cop as the last 2 DFO in my area have been the best you would ever want to deal with.
The only thing he was not impressed with on my last inspection was the fact I had 8000 projectiles even though they had nothing to do with his interest in shooting i think it was all in jest as we had a bit of a laugh about it .
