Vic PTA

Anyone lodged a PTA in Victoria lately?
I put one in a couple of days ago and the dealer told me it was 28 days plus. I’m hoping he was wrong.

Might have to be patient then. Probably not the best time of the year to expect much action from these types of agencies anyway.

30 day lead time currently

Understaffed was the reason I was told, but wonder if it relates to their industrial action.

Don’t know. Not something I’d experienced before. Usually under a week.
And then the lgs told me I could pick up the gun anyway and they’d put it on the books as a loan hire . But I didn’t really like that idea.
But you can imagine it’s messing with people’s businesses. They do need to sell the odd firearm.
But whatever, I didn’t need this rifle till Christmas, so just be patient.

Not the shop that I’ve lodged this current PTA with, but a bigger one still pretty close by said that if I bought a rifle they’d give it to me on the loan hire job as well. But I didn’t end up going through them so I’ll just have to wait it out.

Around here if they know you the loan hire thing is standard practice I have done it 3 times and didn't even have to go back when the paperwork came through .

Yea I’ve never done it but that’s fair. I don’t know, I just want to own it with certainty.
