Another stupid greens statement

Post by Warrigul » 17 Mar 2015, 9:30 am

It didn't make the E edition but here are some excerpts from the Advocate March the 17th(today):

Gun Laws Push to Quiz Past Partners

Police could call ex partners when determining if someone should be granted a gun licence under a proposed amendment to the state's firearm laws.

Green's leader(I wanted to change leader to stupid ******* but though I had better not) kim booth will this week move an amendment to the government's firearms legislation to give Police the authoriy to make enquiries of partners and ex partners when assessing gun licence applications.

lots of dribble etc etc then:

"At the end of the day it is better to take the risk in an ex partner who may be holding a grudge than to miss out on an opportunity of preventing someone who should not have a gun having one" he said.

Ummmm, yep most ex partners wouldn't hold grudges would they? I have had enough mates put through hell by ex partners maliciously laying AVO's that have later been proven to be simply a way of getting at them to place any faith in the ability of the Police to pick the purpose behind an answer.

Lol! My ex is an Olympic gold medalist grudge holder! She didn't speak to me for 18 months before she moved out and hasn't now for 5 years!
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

An embarrassingly transparent attempt to push his anti-gun agenda.

And really what does it matter what their opinion or interpretation of an answer is?

How is what what an ex partner says "evidence" of anything at that point?

Years after a breakup, when you haven't been convicted, charged or even accused (falsely of course) of anything, an ex gets an opportunity out of the blue to cause you some grief. Suddenly it's guilty until proven innocent?

Booth, you're a ********

Stupid obviously

Despite his calls I think the Police will agree this is not practical.

It won't go anywhere.
Thin out their numbers, Ned!

By his logic if you're a total freakshow who's never had a working relationship with another human being then you're immediately more suitable than someone who's had 1 failed one.

Way to go champ!
