This is disappointing

I just looked at hunting maps

And to get to certain state forests (where hunting is allowed) you have no choice but to navigate through national parks to get to there

Not being allowed to walk around with rifles in national parks
That's perfectly fine
That's perfectly reasonable
I have no issues with that at all whatsoever
That makes all the sense in the world to me
No worries
All is well
All good

But not being able to simply drive through a national park to get to a state forest, with your rifle discreetly, neatly and safely tucked away/locked in the boot of your car
(Completely out of sight of anyone)
(Completely safe)

That's disappointing

I think it gets a bit more complicated than that -if NP own the road then they have juristiction over that road-which means you cant even drive with a concealed firearm in the car. If its a public or SF road cutting through a NP then you can drive through the NP
