Painless firearms / safe inspection

Post by Lorgar » 23 Nov 2016, 3:34 pm

I know inspections will always rub some people the wrong way, but for those who worry about them...

I recently moved house, and into a different council area, so I guess this triggered the inspection from the DFO needing to tick the new guy off his books.

In any case, the bloke called a week or so after I updated my address, and we made a time for him to come out after work in a few days time.

The main bloke was an avid shooter himself, mentioned he had 14 rifles himself and a pistol or two.

My safe is over 150kg stock, bolted in and has extra weight via steel plates in the bottom. He just glanced and it and ticked it off.

Him and his partner were in and out in a few minutes, they spent more time taking the piss out of me for having such a setup for only 2 rifles than inspecting anything

They had a quick bat around with the dog and were on their way.

Or do you mean they played around with your dog? I hope so, I would be pretty pissed if they rocked up with a police dog.

Seems like they're all painless really.

Just a few of the same agro people going on and on about them in multiple forums maybe.
