Average wait time for B709a import permit

G'day,

Can someone tell me what the average wait time is for a B709a permit to be processed?

Thinking about purchasing some stuff from the states but haven't made my mind up just yet, if it takes forever I might as well put the permit in now I guess and if I change my mind then no harm done?

Rough wait times anyone?

It can be as short as a week based on the experiences of a mate of mine who imports a few things.

Perhaps longer over the next little while due to Christmas/holidays coming up, but...
