Well, seems like it would have been alright, if you've read the instruction manual :P

I don't see why none of this can't be done in real time, if you already have a driver's licence, key card or a passport... But given the current process, you sir slowed yourself down.

SFA. What after 100 years of making firearms that haven't perfected the design yet? And with modern manufacturing techniques the accuracy of even very modest rifles will produce accuracy good enough for most hunting situations.

Got my payment notice last week Wednesday, the Monday before was the end of my 28 day period.
Paid for it and had my photo taken on Thursday. PTA arrived the following Wednesday, picked up my .22 yesterday and the plastic license arrived today.

Any day now!

Not me, but mate of mine finally got around to processing her license. Submitted it to eServices early last month. Posted in documents late last month. Approved today and waiting for payment notice in the mail.

It's just the PTA'S now which are being abandoned until the easing of covid19 restrictions...

Hi All,

It's my first post. I wanted to write about my application history as well:
26-03-21 Hard copy documents submitted to VicPolice
23-05-21 Payment notice received in mail
25-05-21 Paid via BPAY and had my photo taken (I hope this doesn't cause any issues regarding the speed of BPAY)
I will update when I get my plastic licence

Given the current times and situation in Victoria it wasn't too bad.

03/08/2021 Online application filled out
05/08/2021 Documents received by LRD (Sent with Express Post)
04/10/2019 Email received that my application was approved
07/10/2021 Payment notice arrived, paid and photo taken that day.
15/10/2021 Licence was delivered in the mail.

Things Should hopefully speed up as we open up again and the staff return to the office.

My wait times were,
29/08/2021 - online application filled out
01/09/2021 - Documents received by LRD
09/11/2021 - Approved electronically
18/11/2021 - Received payment notice, took photo that day and paid
03/12/2021 - License came in the mail
Hopefully the process times will decrease as everyone is going back to the office, but who knows

You can attend a westpac branch and pay in person, or BPAY online. You can attend any authorized ID photo point in vic. most people pick post office but if vicroads is a generic ID photo point then it'll work too.

How is everybody going with receiving their first PTA? I sent in a PTA for a 22LR with my license application which LRD received on 18/10/21
My license was issued and posted on 31/12/21which I received in the post on 10/1/22. My gun shop applied for a 2nd PTA for a 300wm the day I received the payment notice which was 30/12/21
I have not received any word on the PTA, nor a bill for it. I have emailed LRD but haven't got a response from them, their phones are off until next week.
I'm just an impatient prick so am very sick of waiting by now! I have 2 rifles sitting at my local gun shop waiting on my PTAs.

EDIT: I got a call from LRD in response to my email, they stuffed up the date on the first PTA I put in, he changed it while on the phone, approved and posted in the mail straight away. The 2nd PTA I put in through the gun shop still attracts a 28 day waiting period as I do not have a registered firearm yet.
