Conceal and carry laws Tasmania

Post by LegitKraze » 05 Jun 2019, 10:20 am

It's my understanding that you can apply for a conceal and carry permit in Queensland. I, however, have not seen any information about this specific Tasmania. Is this tenant of Australia's gun laws unique to Queensland?

Um yeah I wish, if there was conceal carry anywhere in Australia I think the majority of us would love there and enjoy the low crime rate. Lol

https://www.police.qld.gov.au/programs/ ... efault.htm

It seems QLD call their "hangun" licence a "concealable firearms" license, presumably because a handgun is concealable, not because you're allowed to walk around with one on you.

Want to carry a handgun around all day? join the police force or be a security guard (or a protective services officer in VIC)

Qld refers to handguns as "concealable", but you can't carry them concealed.
Pre-'96 I think all states had some means of applying for a carry handgun in very specific circumstances, generally occupation-related or people at unusual risk.

As I understand it was a special provision conferred by the Police Commissioner, as you say for people such as jewellers, SP bookies etc

concealable firearm license ? Yup , I’m sus on the OP. Like a poster a while ago who wanted to know about bypassing mental health problems to obtain a firearms license. Or another who wanted to know how to convert straight pull to semi auto rifles . I reckon BFS is onto it

Don’t you think joining a gun forum you could have picked a better username than ‘Legit Crazy’ ??

Crazy people shouldn’t have guns.

Or maybe you are from GCA and trolling us?

Theres a user that goes by this exact same name on a few different sites/forums. Looks like he's just young and a stoner. He's probably already forgotten he even posted this.

Unless of course he's also trying to infiltrate the drug scene!!!! dun dun dunnnn....

@ OP .. dont be discouraged mate, everyone is wrong, you CAN quite easily apply for a d get a concealed carry permit, but it requires you to be a level 30 spellcaster or cleric/mystic with charisma and agility perks equipped. and Im sorry to say that the concealled carry perk only becomes available after youve killed 4 legendary level boss monsters and harvested their loot..

the point is.. dont give up mate.. just put in more game hours..

I conceal carry quite often... its when I come home from the bottle shop with another bottle of whisky and try to not let the Mrs see it as I carry it through the lounge room. :D
