ACT New laws

Post by pedro4977 » 19 Dec 2025, 1:32 pm

Hi all, just wondering what SSAA ACT and other bodies or individuals in the ACT are doing in regard to what the ACT LA could possibly do regarding new laws after the Bondi terror attack? Besides your local member and federal members, is there anyone lobbying our useless government here in the ACT?
I know our chief minister came out and said there will be changes he hasn't been specific. I hope we don't get f***ed over as badly as it seems NSW is about to get royally shafted. Canberra being lefty utopia, I doubt were going to fare well from this. What are your thoughts?

What did YOU do?
You have today only to bombard(politely) your local member, police, shadow police etc.
They need to realise that you are one of many thousands of voters who oppose this.
Do it now, instead of complaining at the next election.
Now, see links in other posts.

Thanks Fussy and Billo, I have signed petitions, and respectfully written to my local member, a member of the opposition and the SSAA. I see much growing support against these proposed changes since I posted. Hopefully common sense will prevail.

Hey Team,

I sent an email to everybody. Below is the list of all the NSW Members of the Parliament that can be reached via emails. Pasting it here as it is very easy to send one email to all of them at once. If we all do that, the number of emails will be massive. (Just paste the list below in a BCC distribution list when you send the email. I used a generic introduction that is valid for all of them: Dearm Member of the Parliament Office. Template to use is above and everywhere.)

Please give it a go,
Thanks,

Members of NSW Parliament
