Gunsafe check- then PTA? Or...

Hey fellas'
first post on here.
I'm about to get the PTA for a 9mm handgun.. What I'm curious about is- do I need to fit the safe first, for an inspection? OR- do I apply for the PTA, then they come and inspect? I cant remember the protocol .

I'm a bit out of the loop on this admittedly but don't most clubs want your safe installed/inspected before they endorse your membership for licensing/pta etc.?

I don't think you need to have a safe unless you physically own a firearm.
I can't see anything on the SA PtA about having to have security in place, just statements about your security responsibilities and penalties.
Ring a dealer maybe, they should know.

Didnt have a safe fitted when I applied for my PTA. Also have yet to have a check since I got my pistol.

yeah- up north they check the safe, and its install first. So I thought they did it everywhere.
Safes on its way, and so is the PTA
