Compared to WA, it's likely to be good.

When I moved to ACT, I was truly amazed that you applied and 28 days later you went and collected the permit, and at the time it cost $30 - not $130 or whatever it cost at the time.

It felt like paradise.

You CAN hunt on crown land in SA. The catch is nobody can tell you where to find crown land. And if you do find it, generally it's way too small to hunt on.

Hunting in National parks is not allowed in SA

Thanks everyone for the info. Stix, planning to arrive around end of April. But have to take the other half on caravan trip through the centre and down Qld coast. Then back to Adelaide to find a permanent place to live. Been living in the van for four years.Been great .Travelled a fair bit but want to have a permanent base. One of the reasons I don't currently own a firearm is lack of bricks and mortar address and difficulties associated with travelling with them long term. Will definitely contact you when we are settled.

And there's 49 National Parks in SA ... 100's of thousands of square kilometers for them to breed up in.
Perhaps one day when it snows in hell they will open them up for recreational hunting.

Thats about the only thing this mob (state govt) have not instigated where they could make more money to fund their last 15 yrs of foo banger decisions...
And if they did decide to open them up, you can bet the administration of it would a great shamozzel...!

Hunting in National parks is not allowed in SA

bit of a typo, it should read,,nobody will tell you

if you join the ssaa conservation group you can go shooting in the National parks,(set times and dates) have to do a theory test and practical then apply for the culls, mainly goats. your pta's will take four weeks, maybe more for your first one, you will have to make sure that whatever safe you buy is up to the new standard as you wont be able to use the "grandfather clause" for an old one
