Mince Meat Patty Press

Post by Stix » 17 Apr 2020, 11:06 am

I want one of these spring loaded patty presses...If i had one id make more patties out of meat.

Go to around 7;10 in this clip & youll see the type i want...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aESuqWNAoto

Ive got a few too many bunnys atm & also lost a fridge freezer couple of days ago, so have to do something about my excess meat quick smart.
So i thought ill bone out a few bunnys & knock up some pattys...ive done it once before & they were surprisingly really good with few simple ingredients added to the rabbit meat.
I had a quick google last night before my ISP had a crash, & found this guys recipe which is same as what ive done in the past, with the exception of him adding sage as well, & i used red onion.
Then i saw this little press he uses & fell in love with it--its so quick & easy compared to doing by hand, i want one.!!..but i cant find one on the internet anywhere.

Its a long shot i know, but Anyone know where in AU i can find one of these at without ringing every store in the country...?

I know you can get the hand push ones, but i want a springy one like this after seeing it... :)

Cheers :drinks:

I have an arbour press. And a 12 ton hydraulic workshop press. Overkill? I went to a barbecue once where the bloke had obviously not been brought up very well and he bought a packet of the cheapest pre made mince patties available...... meat is usually the best part of a hamburger but I took it out and tossed it in the garden ......nothing like meat you have found in the paddock it’s the only way to go

Imagine for a moment the effort required to clean and dress quails , a bloke makes some 12 gauge shells on his press the night before , then drives 25 k with his gun dog and walks for 5 hours . Turns around and drives home , fills up the petrol tank on the way home, has 2 beers , and then he presents to his wife 3 dressed quails ready to be cooked . But the entire excercise could not be done on an empty stomach so on the morning drive to the stubble paddocks him and the dog ate a whole barbecued chook they bought from big rooster ..... such is the reality of our modern society despite Henry’s valiant attempt to become at one with nature and feed his family

quails are a delicacy mate and not that hard to dress out
just gut, pluck and cut through the breast to flatten out to fry in garlic butter
