Yes as I said earlier on I finally got to the bottom of the 7mm , found some copper fowling half way up the barrel so cleaned a little harder and now this 3 for a group on right and 1 for zero @ 100yds so now i'm relieved there wasn't anything too much wrong with it. 8-)

G'day AZZA mate it's a sako Roughtech Range in 7 Rem mag 26'' barrel 1-9.5 twist . I've had mine for awhile but of late it started opening the groups up to1.5'' @ 100yds but all sorted now . The 7 is a good caliber for long range hunting I've knocked scrub cattle down out to 500yds using a 156gr Oryx projectile but I normally try for closer shots , you won't be sorry for buying the 7mag . I have run 168gr Berger in the 1-9.5 twist and was very accurate tried the ELD-X 162gr ''Hornady'' but found them finicky in my rifle so now my go to projectiles now are ''Hornady'' 154gr sp and the 156gr Oryx I run both on ADI 2217 and can get 50mm group @450yds if I do my bit with the 154gr and 65mm group with the 156gr Oryx

Yeah AZZA I've tried RL22 as well but it was to touchy with temperature and left the barrel dirty even after 2 shots I haven't tried 2209 but have heard some even use 2213sc with good results but with my rifles I like to find the best load and projectile for that rifle and stick with them my 22-250 has 3700 shots through it and 3600 have been the flat base 55gr ballistic tip Hornady and it still shoots 20mm group it used to shoot 5 shots into a clover leaf hole the size of a 5c piece but has slowly opened up over time and shot count and I doubt it will go much further as it threw one out of bed the other day by 1.5'' so once you get flyers it's on its way out especially with that many shots through it. So your Pro comes with a 24'' barrel does it ?but that shouldn't matter on speed because a bloke up here has one and he gets the same as me around 2950fps with even the 168gr Bergers, I stopped using them because they pencilled straight through wild dogs and I get runners I also had one blow out on a wild cow I hit her in the shoulder and it blew up on the shoulder bone and never went in any further I ended up shooting her behind the ear after she run down the hill past me

Yes OB it's a bit concerning when a new rifle shoots clover leaf holes then starts to shoot 1.5'' to 2'' groups within 5 or 6 shots i'll have to be extra careful with copper fowling until I get a few more shots through it and a little bit more run in. as for dogs the grass is too long at the moment but I have got 3or 4 since xmas but harvesting starts in 6 weeks so i'll start going more often I've added another 5 traps to my collection but haven't started trapping as yet this year
