The One & Only Eddie's gone...

Post by Skinna » 07 Oct 2020, 8:54 am

Wow hey...i know this is a shooting forum...but what the hell...

Any muso's out there...?...or admirers of musicians who had great talent & made significant changes to shape what musicianship is in today's era...?

Eddie Van Halen Died this morning...sheesh...!!...

Woweee...from my drummers perspective, i say what a master of the guitar he was...just wow...!!...& he was the one people went to see play.
Just a shame David Lee Roth is the frontman...bring back Sammy & Michael i say...!!

Here's my favorite of their numbers...He'll certainly go down in history & be well known throughout the coming ages for what he did...& to think he's self taught & apparently cant read music...phew'.

I was just reading that before stix, another loss to music
I still remember the film clip for “hot for teacher “

Super sexy women and David Lee Roth doing a big peel-out in a hot rod at the end !

I guess he had been battling cancer for many years and he really went downhill in recent days. I was never a massive fan of Van Halen's music, except for Panama, but clearly a talented bunch of guys.

It's why I am trying to get out and see the 80's bands I want to see because in another 5-10 years it will probably be lean on the ground. In 2018 I saw Simple Minds and Eddie Money and glad I did as Eddie Money passed away about 15 months after that.

My next trip to Australia I want to time it so I can see Icehouse.
