Remember the awesome Rolls Royce with the .50cal behind the hatch in the front grille?
Used to blast the plebs on their Sunday drives holding up Penelope and Arthur from their important international meetings?

I've got the boxed set, complete with the holographic picture of the team!
Betcha half of the people here have no idea what we're talking about!
Whenever I hear the media dribbling about "International Rescue" this is what they really need! Lighten up, dudes!

No bloody way mate.
I'm getting buried with it.

I know it's rubbish by todays AI standards, but when we finally got our first TV as a family, that series was on then.
As kids who made toy planes from timber broken out of pallets and re-used straightened nails after watching the F111's going over from Amberley, that series was a kids dream.
That sort of stuff was groundbreaking then, no special effects in the late '60's.

the detail of the model making in those marionette shows was amazingly detailed . like you say , no special effects/CGI back then . i appreciated stuff like that as i built lots of model kits as a teenager . started out with "tamiya" jap made WW2 military kits , using tricks to weather uniforms and vehicles/tanks to make them appear more real . moved on to american "muscle cars" and trucks when i was older. i used to "cut and shut" the dashboards on some converting them to right hand drive . i built a really nice R600 mack truck , including making a bullbar from scratch with hobby supplies . even had a tiny bit of fuse wire for the mic of the cb hanging from the overhead console . got a airbrush for professional paint jobs , brush strokes were a killer for a person with ocd for details :D besides all that , running around in the outdoors fishing and playing sports was great , growing up in a pre computer world was a blessing . most kids just stare at their phones these days
