Some very disturbing things have come to light in recent weeks.
One of which is that Putins factories have almost trebled their output of new tanks which have not been put into service.

On the contrary they have been sent to a "Storage" facility.

Along with them, other arsenal equipment of many varieties.

Massive troop movements and concentrations in the vicinities of NATO borders.

Trying to match the troop and equipment buildups on our sides of those borders is America, England, France, Germany etc.

Headlines tonite (admittedly only on "Yahoo News") is that a lot of the countries over that way (including England) are now advising the populaces to stock up on groceries, and to have a 3 weeks supply minimum stored.

Not good vibes, for any of us.

i tend to be more optimistic mate . the US has assets in oz , is looking to increase their presence here too . trump being the man he is , would see opportunity in bailing out australia . a controlling influence on our strategically important country with vast mineral resources . he's not trying to build US presence in greenland for the fishing . he's made fun of a lot , but he's a smart operator in ways people don't get

as for WW3 , it's bad for business . money and power is what drives things , no good being the winner if there's nothing left to rule . collapsing a countries internet causing social collapse , or worse , biological weapons designed to get rid of the people and leave the assets . i think this is how things would likely play out , but i hope not . i can't see nukes being used except as self defence . or by phyco religious nuts . problem is a particular type of religion is in every western country now . there's only one that glorifies killing by terrorism . a suitcase sized nuke is technically very doable , funded by a hardcore middle eastern country this is a real possibility.

Yes the US is pouring money into Australia for new and updating bases, a massive increase in technology and basing of large numbers and the best equipment as a staging point for operations in Asia. Trump is fully backing this, and his military sdvisors recommendations for it to continue on a much larger scale.

What it has done though, is ensure China and Russia have missiles aimed at these bases, staging points and surveillance hubs.
