I'm not too surprised, a big flat meplat vs a spitzer but as you say would be nicer if it was just a holdover in one direction.

Ducked out for a last minute sit 'n' wait opposite where I shot my last hind, was hoping to go elsewhere but the road was closed off for works :( Passed some clown that had a rifle poking out the window of the car parked in the middle of the road in a plantation. Dodgiest spot with road's all around and plenty of pushbikes and horses use these roads, let alone being a definite non-hunting area.

Headed out this morning to grab the camera I'd hung over a wallow which gave stuff all back - 1 spike, maybe 1 pig and about 2hrs before I picked it up another hunter. No wonder I didn't see anything on the way in!! Then took my daughter and re-hung it over a scrape I've hung it on before, it (the scrape) looks like it's just started being used, so hopefully will pick up some more activity. Went to the local lake and threw lures around for 45min and ended up landing 1 reddy which came home.

Also been playing with some homemade soft plastics with the warmer months not far away. Finally also found a filler that gives me a strong and light polyurethane so I should be able to pour some hardbodies as well.

Water pump wouldn't run this morning to fill the cow troughs so Rose brought it back to the house and I gave it a good going over. Fuel tank and carb were full of water, gave it an oil change and fixed the pull start rope. Couldn't fix the broken kill switch so have to order a replacement. I took it back up to the dam and filled the troughs. Then I welded up a quick latch for the gate into the chicken run, then replaced the alternator and glow plug relay on the Landcruiser. Then Rose's brother showed up so we tried putting in a set of LED headlights I bought for the ute years ago. High beams work fine, low beams work fine but only when plugged into the high beam circuit, weird since the old sealed beams work fine on both circuits. So we gave up and swapped the old lights back in for now.
