A "property letter"...what exactly is a property letter for a firearm...?
Just proof you send to the police that shows you have authorisation to shoot on a big property

So you can purchase this 'letter' from a firearms retailer...?
And it costs you $250 a pop...?
(Sheesh-im in shock...!! Thats a rort...actually no...thats an reaming of ones poop shoot...!!!)
So who owns the land which is stated on the letter, & do they actually let you go & shoot animals...?
The land is just owned by a friend of the gunshop owner, assumedly. In theory he might let me, but it seems to me there's an implicit agreement when the gunshop sells you the letter that you don't actually rock up and go shooting there

I'd certainly feel like I've been raped by them both, think I'll keep well clear of WA if that's the way shooters are treated... .
You really need to hurry up and move away from that crazy place and help us chip that part of the land mass off, before that BS spreads...

It's probably, easier than it is to own 8+ there mate... A mate from the NT moved there a while back and sold most of his before he went there his place made gun shops look like complete amateurs in comparison... Farked if I know why he went there to be honest..
You should look into the process of moving with what you have, you may find it's easier than what you are dealing with where you are mate.. I doubt it could be any worse..

You entered into a verbal contract, you paid your money, you have documentary proof of the agreement and now they have reneged.
It would also be interesting to know just how fair dinkum the $250 letters are. Did you ever follow any of them up?
WA has always had the most restrictive and in many ways retarded firearm laws.
I wonder what is the greatest fear of the ruling classes over there.

Sounds pretty damn dodgy to me too.
Sounds to me they are selling a false declaration.

Yep.. Why even bother to have the requirement of providing this authorisation letter, when it appears to be an accepted practice to allow people to sell them... Bound to get a few clayton's one's being produced

On the property letter form one of the "questions is how long have you known this person?"
As for Claytons letters a requirement is the location number and size of the property.
