Not knowing what sort of hunting makes it harder. Maybe a decent sling or ammo belt or Gun bag ?

If so maybe a nice knife roll..(i mean just the roll, not the knives--assuming he has knives). :unknown:

Like Stix said. If he hunts for meat... Butchers knives, knife roll, stone, steel, gambral, meat bags, game meat recipe/ cook book........

If target/plinker....... Good quality cleaning rod, cleaning gear, brushes, lubricant, cleaner, steel target (gong) shoot and see targets, ammo box, gun bag..........
