I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.

We are sliding into Year 8 of the worst drought ever recorded in this area(CW Qld). Rain-dance tuition would be greatly appreciated here as well...

Ironic that people not 200kms North of us had our average annual rainfall (16 inches/ 400mm) in a week, and lost over a third of their livestock, and yet THEY were luckier than people further North who lost everything!

I hear ya ..... while not as bad as you lot up there this is the worst I have seen it around bairnesdale Vic in 30 years most of the dams on the propertys I shoot on are dry .
Only 2 are going good as they have boar water .
On some of the sheep places there isn't any grass roots in the ground just 25 knots of wind and you see the topsoil blowing away .

Man it must be bad now.... when we were there we couldn't stop the bloody grass from growing. Rain then 3 days of sunshine then rain and then 4 days of sunshine... meant grass need to be mowed every 10 days or I needed to do 2 passes. Lol

You’ve no idea how thankful I am that my livelihood is no longer directly dependent on rain. It’s 15 years since I escaped irrigated dairy farming and still think it’s the best thing I ever did!
Fingers crossed for everyone being crushed by circumstances beyond their control!
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.
