Don't feel too bad, wish I was 10-15 years younger. This going away for a competition shoot on a weekend is taking it's toll. Driving 5 hours or whatever on a Friday, unpacking, setting up, sighting in, practise then two days of competition has me done. Others drive home on Sunday night but I just can't do it so I've got to stay until Monday to regain the spirit to get home safely. Unpacking, cleaning firearms etc by Monday night I've had it. But, love every minute.
Much easier heading off up the paddock and blowing some vermin away each day.

Seems like none of the young uns want to enter or speak up.

I suppose the next thing to ask would be how long you have owned a firearm of any description....

You got me there Apollo,,,,,, I've only owned f/arms since I was 12 yo.
Mind you, the very first one was a Semi Auto .22 (a Gevarm A7 with a scope and a scope was extra special then)
Sh!t,,,,,,,,,,, where did common sense and fun times go to ???
When I was in secondary school, and learning to use a lathe, I took an old Winchester .22 pump that had been cut down to a crude pistol (no tube mag and could only be used as a single shot) to school.
We unscrewed the barrel and put it in the lathe,, and the teacher proceeded to show me how to cut a 1/2" UNF thread on it,, and then fitted the "Gold Spot" silencer to it.
OMG,,,,,,,,, could you imagine that nowadays. ????
