Believe it or not, we are in the worst ever recorded drought in Qld,,,, and I got stuck in stinking greasy clay.
Just recently I had another dam opened up, deepened, and enlarged.
To finish the job, the excavator operator scraped all the slush mud out of the bottom and dumped it all over the top of the dam wall.
From there it flowed out in an ever increasing area just like lava, and in fact it looked a bit like lava.
It covered a track that I used to use regularly, between the dam and a fence line.
The other night I was out looking for victims, and thought I'd just drive through it and out the other side.
Sh!t easy I thought,,,,,, after all it was only bout 10" deep and rock solid underneath it, the ute should drive through easy.
WRONG,,, d!ckhead me didn't have the hubs locked in.
I got about halfway through, and two wheel drive wasn't enough.
It wouldn't go back, and certainly wasn't going forward.
So I had to get out to lock the hubs in, and ended up losing one boot in the mire, clay all over my sock, and in the other boot.
It pulled out so easy once the hubs were in,,, I was really p!ssed off that I'd made such a simple mistake of not doing it beforehand.
That f@ckin clay is so damm sticky.
