This morning I had the unenviable task of having to get my beautiful girl put to sleep.
Thanks to a f@cking brain tumor.
After 7 1/2 years of pure dedication and loving on her behalf.
Many many happy and proud memories.

Rest now girl,,,,, with your little proxy Jack Russel/Foxie Mum who taught you how to hunt.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.

That sucks DJ, we still haven't gotten over losing our little mate last year, he's buried right beside the steps into my office, where he used to sit and wait whenever Rose wasn't home.

Sorry to hear that Lucy is no longer with you. It’s nearly 3 yrs now that my wolfhound malamute cross MAYA is no longer here ....day or night , from the quad or Ute or on foot .she was the keenest most amazing finder / holder ......every time i pack my ute for a hunt I walk over to her grave and tell her how much I wish she was coming with me. Sometimes I’m sad but sometimes I just feel like I’m so incredibly lucky to have had her through all my adventures for so many years .......Girlfriends were always complaining I loved my dog more than them. So what .....RIP LUCY and MAYA

Thank you so much one and all for your thoughts.

Over many years, I've had other four footed friends and all have been very special in their own ways.
However Lucy was a cut above all of them in so many ways (i won't bore you all with stories).

Now I only have Rocky the German Shepard who is already missing Lucy.
When the time comes for him to also depart, I will call it quits and not get any more.

Cheers,,,,,, and thanks. :drinks: :friends:
