The high water mark.

Post by Die Judicii » 21 Jun 2021, 7:36 pm

These pics are just a few that were taken in and around Normanton FNQ when I was stranded there by flood waters.
The SES were ferrying food and essentials in via this dinghy from a much larger barge.
During this flood a large saltie made residence only 100 meters from where the dinghy is, and in the short space of a couple weeks a Shetland pony and half a dozen dogs disappeared.

The pics that show the car door hanging on the tree demonstrate just how high the flood waters were, and how deep.
I know the door wasn't there before the flood hit,,,, but when the waters started to subside afterwards,, there it was.

I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.
