Interesting Pics that JUST HAPPENED.

Post by Die Judicii » 22 Jun 2021, 1:47 am

I was pulled up in one of those free roadside camping spots for the night.
When I pulled in, I found myself parked alongside another vehicle owned by a young family,, as is obvious by their kids toys strapped in the roof rack.
A half hour later the real life big brother of the toys pulled up for the night as well.

I couldn't resist taking these pics that encompassed it all.
Probly once in a lifetime type pics,, but amusing to say the least.

I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.

Nice mate!

You see a bit of that out here, always boggles my mind when they have a very long or heavy load. Once saw 72m wind turbine blades being transported, the blokes must've had rear steer on the rigs as they seemed to take normal corners way easier than I expected.

Good photos!

Yeah, it's interesting hearing peoples reactions, like DJs "once in a life time" comment. A good run to the smoke, from our little village, would be considered if you only came across ones the size of the ones in his photos. You can get past or around them without barely slowing down. A bad, and more common, days drive would have you encountering three or more big ones that are as wide, or wider than the road. Worse still is being caught behind the big ones. Worse still is when what happens in my photos.

I installed a 40mm gas line at a gold mine once and was in the site hut when the digger guy turned up.I am a plumber and used to the tiny excavators and up to 5 tonne excavators.I asked how big his bucket was and he just spread his arms.I asked if he could put a smaller one on and he shook his head.He tracked down the minesite excavator that had a bucket about 30 feet across and dug a trench 600mm deep.I guess you had to be there

What part of the State is that. Met a couple of those on the Cap hiway over the last couple of years. Only rated two pilot vehicle and one police escort, mild inconvenience to other road users, at worst.

You work in the mines out that way trekin? I still work there, but live south now so do the DIDO. I don't miss that Moranbah - Mackay road one bit, or some of the crazy drivers you come across on that road.
