Poor choice of words

Post by Communism_Is_Cancer » 10 Sep 2021, 11:45 am

Firstly, I don't want this to be like the mammoth thread I just want to point out one thing how words matter.

Kerry Chant the NSW public health servant had a bad choice of words in her recent press interview. We all know there are plenty of people in the community hesitant and speculative of anything the government does so someone as book smart as her needs to work on her people skills and not uses phrases like this. So many news articles are roasting her.

We will be looking at what contract tracing looks like in the new world order”.

I think, in my own opinion, that she is doing a pretty good job under very difficult circumstances. The odd gaff now and again will be part of the norm. I don't hold this against her. I have yet to meet, see or hear from any senior public servant that has finely honed people skills. Queensland has a premier that, let's say, does not seem to think logically before opening her mouth. Just my opinion.

Slip of the tongue. Same with mis pronunciation of words. Look at Ms Gillard: Hyperbole or as she pronounced it "hyper bole" I am guilty of it in my lifetime. :o

Communism is cancer, no doubt about that. The hellholes and deaths left behind from such regimes bear that out.

When you have evil and out of control people like Kerry Chant, I think the issue no one seems to get is that this is what happens when women are put in positions of power.

Humans process information either with emotion, instinct or reason. Women will nearly 100% default to an emotional response and reason will usually come last, if at all. We see this a lot with men with low testosterone levels as well.

Women traditionally are the resource hoarders so these days with Big Daddy Government, they generally will always default to voting for more Big Daddy Government and more restrictions and "security".

In previous times, men kept women's emotional hysteria in check and provided the resources and security for them.

But this is the modern world with blank slate equalism, so enjoy the result.

Kerry is not the sharpest tool in the shed that’s true.
But evil ?
What are you smoking and did you lace it with acid.
And if so, i agree. She does look kinda evil under the right lighting.

You should look up "gender essentialism", other than that there is limited research that showing men with lower testerone levels are more emotionally capable but nothing else. This is also a good thing, being unable to respond to even your own feelings is why men have such a heightened suicide risk. Also, if women are supposedly hoarders, how come most billionaires are blokes?

My oh my.

Blue pill/ red pill. Racism. Right wing. White supremacy. And Nazism

Looks like they go hand in hand with some.

Looking from afar, over the last two years of covid NSW is one state that has continuously tried to take the best steps of any govt in Australia. But Kerry Chant has had a couple of slips of the tongue, wasn't there one where she told partners not to hold hands if walking together

Before I return to the original topic first a comment on "communism is cancer" who I hope won't take this personally.
Communism is an unrealisable utopian concept which might sometimes exist but only on a transient basis followed by a quick reversion to the crude realities of human nature.
The real cancer is ever expanding bureaucracy whatever the flag it might exist under.
As for the original topic the words of Nassim Taleb come to mind - Intellectuals are merely dealers in second hand ideas.
All (insert appropriate pronoun here) Kerry Chant is doing is remouthing words coming from our great protector or our former great protector as the case may be.
No world conspiracy here, just a lack of originality or independent thought and of course hard core support for those in the process of making a fortune.

I agree with SS.

In theory be it democracy or socialism or capitalism or communism they are have their positives. But reality is not book.

Capitalism has killed more people than communism and done more environmental harm than anything else. And that is a fact, we just like it cuz it gives us shiny new toys to play with

Men create resources, women consume them. The only women billionaires out there are ones that captured assets in a divorce.

The reason we have the standard of living we do is because men built it, in a lot of cases, for women.

I think why men have a heightened suicide risk is blue pilled idealism. Men make sacrifices, for country, for women, for companies and their career, for their kids, so on. When that idealistic safe world or institution is shattered for ending up seeing things or people for what they really are, if they are operating from a mentality of scarcity, a lot of times it's difficult to face.

I don't think they are slips of the tongue, when it's every time she talks. She's got quite a big list now of her greatest hits.

One thing I have learned through life experience is the average person puts people with fancy job titles on a pedestal, especially those in government, bureaucrats or politicians. And the reality is often these people ended up as bureaucrats or politicians because they couldn't get a job in the private sector or survive in the private sector and this is their best option as government bureaucracies tend not to encourage efficiency and accountability.
