Actually real feral pigs have less than 14. As they have much less numbers in a litter compared to domestics, nipple numbers reduce over generations.

Noticed a few scotch thistles in a front paddock (that has recently been inundated) so riding my trusty Yamaha steed and armed
with a long handled spade,,,, I hunted those suckers down, and decapitated them before the seed heads matured.
Then this afternoon I gave one of my welders a service.

Today was a very exciting day!

I've bought my first firearm, a Stirling 14 .22LR.

No, its not a super desirable gun by any means, but I am stoked with it, has a nice 3-9x40 scope (perfect for my needs), could do with a sand and varnish but hey, I am very happy with it.

G'day Colin

Mate, there's nothing more desirable than your first gun.

Mine was a Winchester Model 04 .22 I was given for my 13th birthday over 50yrs ago, I've still got him and he's still my favourite.
I'd part with all the rest if I had to but that one is special.
Congratulations :drinks:

Looks like you all are enjoying spring weather down there.

I had a lot of good fall weather but it has sharply turned with a cold blast from Canada. I was filming for Youtube today and when I started it was light flurries but by the end it was cascading down with heavy snow. I was under cover but the snow flakes kept coming in and landing on the chrono which messed it up. Also had the generator running and an electric reflective heater going along with some hot chocolate. I did some shooting in the snow but it got to the point as the sun was going down and snow was getting heavier that it was time to call it a day.

Bear season starts this weekend and deer season the week after. I'm surrounded by bears right now and just saw one the other day.

At least here in Australia you need to be in or around water to get eaten. Not keen on the thought of a bear munching on me when I walk out of camp to have a leak. You blokes can keep your bears.

I don't know about that! Considering today has been 13⁰ and we've just had some of the worst thunderstorms and heaviest rain most people can remember!

You beat me to it.

Got down to 4° and blowing sleet this morning, now the sun's out and back up to 8°.

Got 46mm in a 20 minute flog down yesterday.

Very neat looking gun I must say. I'm pretty sure I'll keep this one for good, nothing is more special than a first gun.
