CBDCs ... every one of us is going to hate them.

Post by Kel » 19 Nov 2022, 12:07 pm

So the Reserve Bank of Australia is currently running a Central Bank Digital Currency pilot program (as is the US Gov).

Cant wait until the government is tracking where and when we spend every single dollar.

Spend too much at the gunshop ? ... expect a knock on the door.

Some people think it wont happen in our lifetime. It is time to stop kidding yourselves. :wtf:

Good onya Kel.

Like I needed something else to be all paranoid about.

This is big brother in action.
Westralia's fascist authorities will have a raging one for this idea.

I just read a report, they're trying to sell the idea on the same lines as privatisation, "better cheaper, easier, faster".
We all know how well privatisation worked with the power grid.

Hard to stash digital dollars under the mattress for a rainy day, it's not about "easy", it's about total control through surveillance and monitoring.

Considering we can't even keep the power running reliably 24/7 cash will always be an option.
Secondly, I can't wait to see the sad faces when there's major data breaches of that fandangled system.

The reality is that most people are apathetic about these things and will not stand up and LOUDLY resist them. CBDCs will become a part of our lives and only then will people say hey this is s**t and start whining. It'll be too late by then.

I see it now, to kick it off .gov will offer CBDC handouts to anyone willing to sign up for them ... fools & socialists will jump at that and the irreversible landslide will have begun.

Cash would be an opportunity to circumvent CBDCs so cash will absolutely be phased out. There are always ways to deal with power outages.

Spot on about tge sheeple, although I doubt cash will be completely phased out.

It makes me beg for a solar storm like we've never seen before.

People are inventive.
You got something I want, I got something you want, we can come to a deal.
Remember that ALL money is just a token, or an IOU, and only works if somebody is prepared to exchange something of value to the token holder.

"Spend too much at the gun shop and expect a knock at the door"

Why would they bother going to the trouble of leaving the office? With a press of a button they just 'stop' that transaction from ever happening again.

The scope for complete control over the population is off the charts. It will be the end of freedom for humanity.

Govt- "The economy needs a kick along. Current uncertainty is encouraging people to save instead of spend. From tomorrow, bank account holders will have to spend X% of their wage each fortnight or it will be erased.

Go forth and spend and do you bit for the country's economy"

The other worry:
"We need someone with your skills in another state, your money will be no good anywhere else, you have X amount of time to get there".

Yep. The potential for nefarious uses of the system by govt is endless.

Many valid responses there.

The point here being to raise awareness and get people to push back on these BS moves by .gov whenever and wherever they can. Just sayin ... Make your voices heard.

I see one big problem in fighting this Kel.
We're now living in a world where the majority have been conditioned to expect instant gratification, instant communication, to tap their phone on a transceiver to pay for their decaf soy latte from the window of their tesla.
It will be presented as a "convenience" and the Lemmings will jump straight off the cliff.

@Lazarus, I wish it wasn't so, unfortunately I agree with you 100%. Especially the socialists who will sign up for 'free' CBDC handouts.

Yeah, free.

As John Ruskin said in the 1800s, "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch"

Every freeby given by the establishment is just a worm hiding a hook.

I swear I'm getting closer to the Sovereign's point of view every day.
