The little F#ckers,,

Post by Die Judicii » 01 Jan 2023, 4:16 pm

In the last week I've noticed a sudden decrease in our near new good vehicles fuel efficiency.
Today I discovered why.
Bloody mud wasps have been crawling through the mesh on the air snorkel ram,,, and built a large nest right down low in the neck.
Effectively blocking 50% of the air flow.
After dismantling the head and the main tube I got it out, then sprayed a coating of long term barrier spray in it.
That should stop their antics for a while.

I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
And,,,,It's been proven,,,,, the most trustworthy females in my entire life were all canines.

It's amazing where they can get.

I found a real sneaky nest on my camper.

I've got double lip rubber seals around the doors and mamma wasp somehow managed to lay a string of nests, head to toe, in the 8mm gap between the lips.
Courage is knowing it might
hurt, and doing it anyway.
Stupidity is the same
.
And that's why life is hard

I had them build a nest under the guard of my metal cut-off saw. Virtually the full coverage of the disk under the guard.

Not realising it was there, I went to use the saw (admittedly, I hadn't used it for quite a while), turned on the power and there was just a humming noise when I tried to operate it, Stopped immediately and thought "what the f@#k" Checked it out and found the nest. Have to try and find the pictures I took.
