Need help with USB cable

Post by Die Judicii » 17 Jan 2023, 11:03 pm

Can anyone help with info regarding getting a cable made.
I got this one ( 1 meter long ) made at a Jaycar store.
Problems are that the cable itself is too stiff and plays merry hell with the plug itself.
The ideal solution would be,,,
a) thinner or more flexible cable
b) spiral cable like the (old telephone hand piece cable)
c) have a 90 degree elbow plug

I went back to the store that made this one for me, but old Mate that made it has since retired,, and Jaycar no longer make up specific cables.
I've rang numerous electronics places and I get the same response from all of em.

Anyone know where I could get one made ???
:unknown:

  Helps if I remember to add the pic.

Looks like a regular USB 2 on one end and a Micro USB on the other end.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding one at any big box store with electronics or on Amazon.

Thanks Blokes,,
What I didn't say was the (small end) plugs into my Pulsar scope, and if its like the Pulsar binoculars download cable, it is different to the average plug.

Thanks Lazarus for the 90 degree pic/s,, but if one of those fitted it would have the cable pointed straight into the side of the rifle fore grip when plugged in.
I need it to point the cable forward (towards the muzzle.
I need 90 degrees,,,, but in the opposite plane to all those cables with 90 degree plugs.

When i tried to fit a cable into my pulsar svope the standard plug housing was too thick. Angle grinder on four sides of the plug housing sorted it out. Done in a delicate manner not friday night after two cans of jack
