Re-wilding-dingoes & tassie devils

I think re-wilding has its place. But reintroducing the dingo to control cats and foxes. DOH, got a feeling the sheep might get targeted first. Have these people got half a brain?

Half a brain? If only they did.
One only needs to research the history of how Ibis were once thought to be a declining and potentially threatened species, were bred up in captivity and "rewilded" to understand how they became the ubiquitous pest that they are today.

Keep introducing apex predators until we get lions.

Sheep predation is an economic issue. There is an element of emotional toll and distress for landholders that comes with stock losses, but bigger picture wise this is an economic concern.

Controlling cats and foxes is an ecological lense. Sheep don't kill birds and lizards etc - cats and foxes very much do.

There is no sheep farming anywhere on a dead planet....

WA is solving the sheep predation issue by shutting down sheep live exports and therefore wrecking the industry in WA. Won't be any sheep for predators to eat

Because they are not geared up for the export industry. Regardless of opinions of the trade, you cannot just shut down a legitimate industry and not have major consequences.

Agreed, look what happened when they shut down the northern trade of cattle.
