I watched Putins so called Celebration Day ceremony.

Post by Die Judicii » 10 May 2023, 10:47 pm

Believe it or not I sat and watched the whole bloody ceremony.
And, you know what really struck me out of all of it ? :unknown:

Apart from some uniformed females in the parade,,,,
I did not see a single natural happy smile anywhere.

Not in the "rent a crowd" behind the barriers anywhere to be seen.
Not in the sad array of geriatric old farts adorned with medals.
Not anywhere amongst the young ? soldiers standing to the rear and either side of Putin. (what a sad forlorn looking couple)
Not anywhere amongst the "elite" uniformed
Not even on the faces of the two little kids that were featured frequently.
Not a single smile amongst the (what appeared to be) hardened old soldiers.

For God Sake,,,,,,,,, it was supposed to be a celebration of the defeat of Hitler and the end of WW 2,,,,,,,,,, :unknown: :wtf:

However,,,,,,,,,,, it does make me curios what was making those uniformed marching females smile so brightly :unknown:

Russians are a pretty miserable people over all. It's part of their psychological makeup.

There is a Finnish guy, Martti Kari, that used to be a Finnish military intel officer and there is an excellent subtitled one hour class he taught at a university in Finland on the Russian mentality and why they do the terrible things they do and why they are so damn miserable as a people. It can be found on Youtube.

DJ: "Not anywhere amongst the young? soldiers standing to the rear and either side of Putin."

Well, if I was a young soldier in Russia at the moment, I wouldn't be smiling. Russia's leadership is following the SOP from WW II in that they are sending poorly equipped and minimally trained cannon fodder to the front. I also wonder if they are following the play book of 'Uncle Joe' from WW II, i.e., "Not one step back!" and are shooting any waverers "pour encourager les autres"?

So you say it appears to be an unduly sombre event, totally unlike the carnival atmosphere surrounding our Anzac Day.

What amused me was after the Ukrainians "ran a train" on their invading barbarian rabble(Slava Ukraini) the only tank they could spare was a T34.

Vlad The Defenestrator is a combination of Joe and Adolf, no wonder the normally dour feckers aren't dancing.
As to the smiling girls, they outnumber the men now, buyers choice

I'm pretty shocked they took the minimalist approach on this and figured they would have pulled out all the stops to make sure that parade was stacked with tanks and other stuff. Kinda made them look weak and embarrassing.

Did anyone see when Putin and his cronies were coming along and then the big drums started they all sh*t themselves and stopped dead because they though it was an attack . Watch Putin he turned and was about to leave until his body guards said it's just drums . I laughed like hell , Putin the big tough hero .

Must admit,,,, I must have blinked and missed that bit. :wtf:

But seriously,,,, It's a part of history that should nowadays be celebrated (beating Hitler) in the best possible way (and not only by Russia).
There should be smiles all round. They don't cost much.

Mostly by Russia. Have a look at their troop losses fighting Jerry. Mostly by a lot.
Japan too i credit Russia with their surrender too tbh. Russia was fearsome.
They saved the world make no mistake.
Not in any way to detract from allied war efforts but “the Russians are coming” left any opposing force already anticipating a brutal defeat.
Not today. I really feel sorry for the people. I don’t believe they’re overwhelmingly complicit. They were a proud people and rightly so.
And now they’ve lost that. That’s a massive part of the Russian psyche to lose.
I mean they’ve lost many times since ww11 , pretty much every time I think. But this one is different. It’s just in plain view with modern tech for everyone to see worldwide. And the shame takes generations to overcome.

That's something that amuses me when I hear the far right knobjockies, who all deny being fascists, hating on ANTIFA.

The portmanteau literally stands for anti-fascist.
I'm fairly certain every one of the boys who stormed the beaches etc were firmly anti fascist.

Cue the knee-jerk reaction from the "manosphere".

It not a carnival, 20 million died fighting the Germans. Everyone knows some relative that died fighting. It's actually a pretty sombre event.

It must have been a tough event to sit thru for Putin, the lack of Military hardware in the parade was quite embarrassing.

Surely they could have rolled out some blow up tanks

Not sure what the joke is. How many bushmasters are left? Any?

There were burnt out bushmasters on display at lysychansk for the public to see after that city was taken. Rest are left on the field burnt out with big holes in them.

Here's a wake up call, people die in conflict and rest assured way more are dying on the other side. Whole of the NATO trained armed in fortified positions are overwhelmed by PMC Wagner's.
The mercs are armed with shovels according to the BBC if you believe that crap.

300,000 reservists recruited from last year haven't entered the conflict yet. God help Kiev when they do because the 70,000 Ukrainins they are going to use for the spring counter-offensive are going to be in trouble.

People have no clue what the strategy being employed by Ukraine in Bakhmut is.
Ukraine has been purposely falling back a street at a time to draw Wagner into pre-zeroed artillery , mortar and rocket fire . Plus mines , IED's and even buildings rigged with demolition charges . They are doing this while waiting for the counter-offensive to start which is taking longer than expected . So this makes Wagner look better than they actually are and they take more ground , but loose far more troops than Ukraine does to do it . When the counter-offensive starts and it already has in the South of Bakhmut the ground lost will be regained and more , but Wagner will be much weaker because of their previous losses . There is no point in taking ground if you end up with not enough troops and resources left to hold that ground in the long term . Russia figures about how many reservists they have are all lies . They have untrained reservists that don't want to fight and go into battle badly equipped , sometimes without even a rifle . Ukraine has way more than 70 000 well trained , well equipped troops that are hell bent on revenge . They say there is now Chechen's and FSB behind Wagner stopping them from retreating but could be crap . The Pincer movement in the South looks fairly shallow at the moment so it's not the main counter-offensve yet in this area .

Bingo John.
The conscripts are supposed to hold the towns taken but they are unwilling to hang about.
The mercenaries move on and take more. But the mercenaries are the only group that can successfully hold ground.
It’s a war of attrition for Ukraine now. They won’t go head to head with the sledgehammer. They have to work smart not hard.

We sent 90 bushmasters. 83 still in active service. Possibly though unverified we just lost another, which means now 82.
The video is footage from Afghanistan, note the paint job. Their propaganda machine is not very great. They often use footage from other conflicts. Some of the dead himar stuff was actually pretty hilarious.
It’s only really intended for Russian consumption though. The budget is tied up in the next US election.

Your always going to loose a lot of men and equipment fighting against people as strong as the Russians are . The trick is that you try and loose far less than them so at the end of a few years they have run out of resources and you have not . Russia will collapse and retreat back to Russia one day , it has to happen .

Well, heaps are. UK is giving them long range missiles. That's because Putin is a murdering arseole. Any one who supports him is no better.

Funny how almost every western country and half of Europe is giving Ukraine free ammo. Nobody is giving Russia free ammo.

Q. I wonder why most are supporting Ukraine?
A. Putin is no better than Hitler. A kunt.

Actually funny how they celebrate defeating Hitler and the Nazi's. Now they are exactly the same.
