The battle for Bakhmut started about 9 months ago. I don't think 9 months and 2 weeks is "steam rolling".

A steamroller is slow and crushes everything in its path.

Steam rolled is exactly what the city looks like now.

To a shallow thiinker, lives lost defending Putin's personal Stalingrad, would appear wasted.

To those with their head outside their colon, the deliberate choice to hold Bakhmut, knowing Putin was gagging for any vestige of victory and would throw away thousands of his fodder to get a chance at it, it was a brilliant strategic ploy.
It the Russian horde does eventually push the last Ukrainians out, it will be a Pyrrhic victory only.

Those, like Putin and Hitler, who invent their own version of history, never seem to grasp the lessons offered by reality.

Oh yeah, naah that’s just the usual disinformation. Last week it was the Klitschko brothers dying. Week before that Tantsyura.
Dunno, maybe , but the channels spreading it are for disinformation.

What is so telling is that Putin fell for the same strategy that Hitler fell for, destroying a huge portion of his strength chasing a purely political victory.
I doubt this repetition of Stalingrad will have cost as many, but hopefully, enough.

I'm reading Ukraine lost 10 brigades fighting for Bakhmut. If you believe NATO the Ukrainian were destroying Russia somewhere at 7:1.

That means Ukraine lost 40,000 and Russia lost 280,000 in Bakmut.

I don't believe any of it. The Russians were firing 4 to 10 the artillery into the city destroying every building one by one.

If the Ukrainians don't start with a spring offensive soon there won't be anything to defend.

What are you on about. Mercenaries took on the entire might of NATO equipped and trained army and won using shovels according to the western media.

Let's get a grip here. Blackwater PMC only had security details in Iraq. In Ukraine they are fighting door to door.

They have a bridgehead now to Kramatorsk. Russians have started to establish air superiority in the east and my guess is its going to accelerate. Those FAB guided gliding bombs are lethal.

Continually quoting Wikipedia quoting the pentagon isn't going to convince me of anything.

If the numbers were as high as that Russia lost an army of mercs which it did not.

Still hasn't been seen but everyone has spoke to him or got a written message.

The second link talks about holding onto bakmut when the Wagner's boss was holding a flag over the city. That's either very delayed reporting or complete BS.

Zelensky’s a Jew. I don’t even like Jews, who does. :unknown:
Ukraine still hasn’t even attempted to attack Russia. And they won’t. One f16 enters Russian airspace and they lose all support.

They have attacked Russian but it's been sparodic attacks, flying a suicide drone into the Kremlin, the kerch bridge, helicopter attacks across the border blowing up fuel stations, drone attacks on airfields damaging bombers, targeted assassinations of civilians.

None of it is going to change the outcomes.

Cities are difficult. However the major ones are falling faster than that. Mariupol ,melitpol, lysychansk, sevrodonetsk, Bakmut in less than a year.
