Had it happen to me a few times, usually a phone call telling them their fortune seems to fix the issue
"Oh sorry sir, it must have been mistakenly put into the wrong sorting pile"...nothing short of incompetence.
I'm just glad this didn't happen when I got my shotgun sent over from vic.

Yep I’ve watched my package tour Australia before. And it departed not that far from me. It was free delivery so why bother picking it up right.
To be honest it had a great trip, wonderful itinerary, wish I had of gone with it. I was so jealous

Count yourself lucky that it arrives.
The real fun starts when it doesn't.
On making multiple enquiries, subsequent Australia Post replies contradicted previous responses only to eventually be told that only the sender can make a claim.

Outsourcing is such a success, isn't it?

When I moved over to this side of the property, the house had been vacant for a while, I rang to get the power on, got someone who was god knows where, I gave her my address and she replied "No"
I asked what she meant.
"No house there"
I'm standing in it
"No, sorry, computer say no house there"
Things went downhill from there.

When was the last time you rang a business and got a call centre worker you could actually understand.
Not the worker's fault, they're doing better than me, I can only speak one language, but sometimes their accent is impenetrable.
Courage is knowing it might
hurt, and doing it anyway.

Maybe it met a girl parcel. Went out dancing, had a few drinks. Don’t spoil it’s trip.

Meanwhile I ordered a handful of flints for my rock bashers from Track Of the Wolf in the US and from notice of dispatch to holding them in my hand was 4…yes FOUR working days!
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.
