i suspect that police , like our other emergency services, are underfunded and short staffed to deal with their work load . after what i've seen of our hospital/healthcare system of late , i suspect this has a impact on police being able to follow up on information

I don't disagree, funding is an issue. But incompetence seems to be ingrained in the various state agencies last 10 or so years.

And all the major parties are guilty.
