Full Cream Milk ? You are kidding.

Post by Die Judicii » 10 Dec 2023, 9:13 pm

For an awful long time now I've held this view,,, but lately it's got even worse.
As a kid and having fresh milk straight from cows, made the bought (carton or plastic bottle) milk pretty pathetic.

Lately, when you pour some out, you can (almost) see the added water.
It is just so watered down.
Added to the fact that the factories suck so much of the good stuff out, there is only fluid left that has no substance.
So the bought product is in my experience definitely and considerably watered down.

To call it "Full Cream Milk" is now just a lie,, and gross misrepresentation.

Same thing goes for the little bottles of "Thickened Cream" Ha,,, WTF,,, :wtf: :wtf:

I have been a milk addict but now it’s a problem/ my blood vessels are clogged up … I’m goin to die tomorrow morning at 1032 am

Here in Amish and Mennonite land we can get plenty of local milk, eggs, cheese and meat. You can get raw milk as well and also can get milk in glass bottles that has been slow pasteurized.

BLR I don't think based on my research saturated fats are really the problem, everyone's waist lines exploded when we moved away from them to trans fats and other weird oils.

Yer NOT wrong there Mate.
It's ludicrous what they put sugar in these days.
Even enteric coated tablets. (Neurofen is a prime example)
That outer coating is only intended to prevent it from dissolving too quickly or in the wrong part of the digestive system,,,,, and doesn't need to be sweetened.
FFS, it's ridiculous.

Not far wrong. Had this chat with my Dr about 10 months ago.

It's the carbohydrates. That includes most sugars.

I reduced my;
Bread,
Rice,
Pasta,
Fruit,
Spuds,
Cereals in general.

He said animal fat was fine.

Lost 9kg in 9 months. Still have 2-3 beers every day. No crazy exercises.

It's not hard to find good milk in SA, the stuff I buy is so chunky you've almost got to chew it.
I haven't bought the cheap supermarket brands for a very long time, their rubbish.

Eh,I grew up with access to dairy milk straight from the vat, still doesn't upset me to buy milk from the shops. The constant price hikes do though
