The goals of the special military operation were as recall

1. Ukraine doesn't join NATO ever (wait for Trump)
2. Ukraine becomes neutral and demilitarized (wait for Trump to pull the pin on funding and weapons)
3. Donetsk and Lugansk become part of the Russian Federation (already voted for in referendum and cities being rebuilt)
4. Russia keeps Crimea (still got it)
5. De-Nazify the country (most are dead or hiding now)

Trumps rep has already told Zelensky he isn't getting Crimea back and he's gone on a tirade.

His term has run out. As soon as elections are held or the USA has forces him out so negotiations can start. Any way he's gone.

The thing to understand is that the US Commander in Chief does not initiate a salute to anybody but will return a salute from a suitably ranked individual.
So this is one frame out of a sequence of actions that took place as follows.
The NK general salutes Trump.
Trump returns the salute.
While Trump is returning the salute the NK general offers to shake hands.
Then that out of context frame is used to infer that Trump is almost as debilitated as Biden or worse still, is somehow beholden to NK.
Not too hard to follow is it.

Who knows what Trump has told Zelensky we will have to see but I would assume it would be in helping rebuild Ukraine. Apparently Trump has told Putin not to push further into Ukraine.
