WA Shooter thinking of moving to Tassie

As it says, I'm thinking of moving to the South island, probably around Hobart or Huonville. I've got a few loud sticks I'd look to bring with me. I shoot a little military, some informal target, foxes but there's a big lack of those and small game like goats. I'm a deer virgin. What do I need to know ?
1) I'd have to learn to hunt for a start.

The kangaroos are tiny and there are no foxes (allegedly).
