Missing

But seriously, neck turning. Even when turning under power it's still boring, fiddly and time consuming.

Hand priming tool should sort that one out for you?
However, mine is the butchering bit....Lots of hours spent in a position that makes some of the back muscles ache, trying to achieve the best biltong cuts etc etc.

for me it's doing all the research, prep, loading, planning and then not getting the time to go shoot or hunt

maybe the wife would consider sponsoring my shooting career and i could go full time

That's defiantly up there with the suckiest bits...or not having anything to shoot.

I don't mind reloading, rarely load more than 50 in a sitting so its not too bad.

I just wish I could get home from a shoot and just put the rifle back in the safe and forget about it .... so for me its cleaning, but I always do it.
On the sponsorship wife thing.... I might make my wife the Gun Handler, at the end of the day she can clean and store the rifles then prepare the days take.

My pet dislike is the gutting and butchering afterwards.
It just becomes a chore after a while and sorta takes the fun out of hunting.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!

Top ten reasons why guns are better than women.

10) You can trade an old .44 for a new .22 and even get cash back.

9) You can keep one gun at home, and have another for when your on the road.

8) If you admire a friends gun and tell him so, he'll probably let you try it out.

7) Your first gun doesnt mind if you get another one for backup.

6) Your gun will stay with you, even if you run out of ammo.

5) A gun doesnt take up much closet space.

4) Guns function normally EVERY day of the month.

3) A gun doesnt ask, "Do these new grips make me look fat ?"

2) A gun doesnt mind if you go to sleep after using it.

And the number one reason is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

1) Its possible to silence a gun.

most annoying part is the time and distance to get to the shooting and returning home.... I need a home range.

But the least favorite would have to be the knowledge that as a licensed firearm owner my every action whether or not involving the use of the firearms, is constantly under such scrutiny that the smallest of infractions could potentially take away this, what is now a 'privilege'.....

Anything reloading related these days.

It was a novelty once. No more.

Could definitely do without the drive.

Little River is about an hour from my place at best.

Going camping/hunting I gotta go 2.5 - 3 hours away for it to be worthwhile.

Yep it is an absolute pain in the arse. Fun to start with but once you have done enough (for most people) it simply becomes a chore.

I'm glad to see others think the same about the reloading - I was beginning to think something was wrong with me! :D It's fun when you find a load that works etc but I think the repetitive nature of it is somewhat humdrum type thing.

I'm luck as these days I only really hunt foxes so there's not great need to pump out hundreds of rounds every week type deal, I reload a 100 and that should last a year depending on what I'm doing.

I could never get into all that neck turning and full on case prep stuff, I just prime the cases, stuff em with powder, jam a projectile in and go shootin, I don't even clean the cases every reload like some do, I give me a quick wipe over and that's good enough for me unless they are really dirty then they can go for a swim for a while.

I only hunt now so loading up 50 rounds lasts me a month or three. Not a big deal there.

When I was doing target shooting though and doing a hundred or two rounds in one session, that was seriously humdrum doing that regularly.

Yeah I only hunt now so I'm sort of the same, its ok but I still don't enjoy it as much as I used to when first starting out, I don't know what the story is as to why I find it that way these days, I gotta push myself to do it but once I'm going its ok I guess. :?

One time when I was shooting, only once, and it is a long story I scope cracked my self.

I hated it  and thought to my self after I was done seeing stars never do that again. It hurt!

I am not to proud to say I don't know if my eyes were watering or if I was crying.
