Anybody noticed this ?

How many of you blokes have noticed how fragile items (many and varied) that you purchase are either very smooth and slippery (mobile phones being a classic example),,,,,,,,,, or, are in a bag/container that is also very easily dropped or slip out of your grasp.

At risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist,,,,, I reckon the manufacturers do it on purpose.

I've bought two sets of thermal binoculars (just on 12 months apart) and both of them are in padded bags that are as slippery as detergent coated glass.

Yep I had a work iphone. Slippery as
Dropped it before I even had a chance to buy a case for it. Three days old IIRC.
Most mobiles are same.

To slightly change the subject I sent a brand new in box carbine back to NIOA for repairs because it did not cycle correctly. The NIOA sales rep said that it is cheaper for the manufacture to repair 5% of new guns then to have better quality control at the factory and inspect every new gun.

So I would say everything new is not built to last. Remember those old TVs in the 1980s and 1990s before the flat screens that were made of glass and were heavy as to move. They lasted forever unlike the new ones.
