At risk of starting WW 3

I'm probably going to offend some people with this, but what the hell.

What is it with HiLux owners ?
I'd hazard a guess and say about 95% of the HiLux's in my general area have had their mufflers cut out.
And they sound absolutely terrible., a bit like a blowfly with diarrhoea in a bottle.
I mean,,,,,, really,, to what purpose ?

And, the cream of the crop are the wankers that have the imitation chrome exhaust stacks either side up behind the cabin.
I bet some of these guys get a bit confused when it comes time to change gears, wondering which "stick" to grab.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
And,,,,It's been proven,,,,, the most trustworthy females in my entire life were all canines.

I believe the purpose is to decrease your fuel efficiency and have less power. Ideally causing the engine to misfire often and burn out your valves.

I had a look at the new Nissan Patrols. The top of the line model (way out of my price range) has some sort of exhaust diverter that activates when you plant your foot, "to make it sound like a Harley" to quote the salesman.

If Harley riders could read they'd be very upset with you right now

And the little boys that make the prehistoric, joke of a V8 engine in the LC79's makes me piss myself laughing.
That dinosaur of an engine is a joke as it is, making it loud just makes people look at the sh*tboxes.
The last great engine Toyota made was it's best, that's the 1HD-FTE 24 valve 6 turbo. They have massive strength and can be likened to the Barra engine in a Cruiser ute, they have the strength for HUGE potential.
Unlike the poor structural fragile nature of the awful alloy Cruiser V8.

I love the sound of a great engine, especially a lot of race cars and enjoy all the guys that have Youtube channels and go out and record great audio and video of older race cars on track at historic events.

But when people just cut the muffler or something on their road car engine to make it sound loud but terrible, I am like what in the blank are you doing?

And Harleys, can't stand em. Completely obnoxious and not pleasant to listen to.

19 killer wasps of raw power.
I tailgated a road train in one once. Before they were limited to 100. In the slipstream in Western Queensland.
