How NOT To Shoot A Semi Auto

Another great Hickok45 video

I actually stopped a guy from using this grip the other week at the range. He predominantly shot revolvers and was having a go at my Glock, only just stopped him before he pulled the trigger

Saw a guy many years ago slice 2 perfectly parallel lines into the meat of his hand between thumb & index finger firing one of the first Glocks in Australia. His grip was fine and being ex Russian special forces knew his way around firearms. He had massive hands and without the curved upper grip like the colt / browning 9mm he was gripping just a little too high and got nailed by the slide. I thought it was pretty funny for a few milliseconds till I realised he wasn't laughing an could probably crush my head with his giant hands.

The cup and saucer is when you use your off hand to make a platform at the base of your strong hand when shooting. The major problem with it is it provides no recoil resistance so it makes a follow up shot slower

"You're going to watch to move your head a bit further back from the scope", I said.

"Nah, I'll be right", he said.

I won't spoil the ending, but a clue is that a .416 has lots of recoil and eyebrows are east to split

Good old weatherby eyebrow

I've only done it once and thankfully it was with a 22 (I was about 10 and had the stock under my arm because it was too long for me).

Kind of mistake you don't forget readily.

I'm pleased to say I've never had it.

Had a few kisses from the scope but never a real cracker.
