Rental gun storage units

Post by Usurper » 10 Oct 2014, 8:51 am

Anyone put there firearms into a rental storage place that offers storage for them?

I'm going away for a while and looking at the options other than leaving them at home.

Were the units Fort Knox or just up to spec?

Cheers.

Yes they do, BUT ask how much $ per day per F/arm before you commit.
My soninlaw got stung a few years back, over an emergency short term storage for 1 rifle.
When the initial inquiry was made, the dealer said "Yeah mate, I can look after it for you."

But, he didn't say there was a fee attached or how much it was.
This was in a small country town.
So it certainly is wise to ask ALL the questions first.

A Melbourne suburban secure storage place got 'done over' last year ..... not so secure apparently, especially when the crims know exactly where there are stack of firearms, they made off with 14 arms...

Leave them with a dealer.

Surely that's not them?

A garage door with a padlock?

The back guy just has a crow bar so he's obviously not expecting too much resistance.

Hey guys sorry to be a bit off topic but one of my friends has a handgun and her parents are moving house soon and she is unsure if she will be able to store it in the new place.

This is in WA so as you know it is a bit harder over here but what options does she have available to her if the option to store the gun at the rental isn't available to her?
