How about a sealed section of the forum where we could discuss thing that couldn't be trolled or taken and misrepresented. It could have a certain post count to get in or be invite only.

I reckon that's a bad idea simply because it implies we as shooters have something to hide or up to something illegal. the best way to get new members and encourage people to join is to have content visable by search engines and available for people to see and read IMHO

Maybe a better wording would be to have a "Members Only" section where access is controlled by the thread creator. I would like a "Read Only" thread of my own so I can post information / data without it getting diluted by other posts.

A section for links could be good. firearms registry in each state along with pro shooting Aussie websites like Gary Mallard/Wish/etc and even facebook-twitter pages from shooting groups.

Of course no posting should be allowed perhaps we should PM links to mods for approval which they can add at their leisure.

The list of registries has been done before but it's just a regular post, can be found if you search but isn't featured anywhere for quick access.

I've thought about adding a 'resources' section of some sort before to pool these kinds of topics. Honestly the trouble has been getting around to doing it. No time these days

Also living in one state I'm no expert on all of them, aren't familiar with local bodies etc. etc.

I think the way to do it will be get a list of desired info together and do a 'call for submissions' so members in each state can contribute the respective bits of info they know.

You don't have to do it all in the one go, you can start with a few and add to it when time permits.

I was happy to see a Sambar in the header a few days ago when I was using my tab2 tablet. Great. But on the laptop its a white tail still LOL See pics, both taken tonight.

Need to refresh your browser cache on the laptop.

Open the site and on the page press ctrl+f5

Should reload with the updated image.

Attachments in PM has now been enabled guys.

There are a few limits on size and number of attachments to stop mailbox sizes blowing out so you might have to manage your messages a little different if you sent a lot with attachments, otherwise it won't be any different.

for the times you read a post , totally agree with it , like it but don't feel that it needs additional replys just for the he sake to say you agree.

Some forums have a button for " give thanks "
