Australian Shooter magazine getting repetative

Post by tiki » 07 Nov 2013, 8:30 pm

I've been subscribed to the Australian Shooter magazine for a while now, but thinking of cancelling my subscriptions...

Anyone else find it's getting real repetitive.

I know they need ads to make money, but the last few issues have been near photo copies.

Core Lokts, Remington 783, night vision, Lone Wolf, Dillon Reloaders and it goes on. Pretty much the same each time.

I feel like I'm only getting 2-3 new ads and 1-2 interesting articles in each issue these days :(

Yup.

Mine was up for renewal not long ago and I didn't bother.

I wasn't going to buy a Remington 783 the first 10 times I saw the ad, I'm not going to buy one now

I guess it doesn't really matter. Its an association magazine, and its free for SSAA members. Even if it had nothing in it except the SSAA's board meeting minutes, It would serve its purpose... ;)

It's actually $23 more to sign up with the mag than if you just get a $60 range membership.

That's a whole 6 pack man!

Certainly so, I thought the same thing some years back and never re subscribed.

Just cancelled mine for the same reason.

Mostly the same ads these days and pretty thin content.

About the only reason I used to buy it was for Brendan Atkinsons articles anyway

Remington are definitely giving the SSAA a good chunk of their cash for core-lokts and Rem 700 ads.
