Any other weapon except guns?

Which weapon (for self defense) do you guys rely on other than your handgun in your home? I have a heavy duty baseball bat which I keep under my bed, just in case if any intruder breaks in and I don't find my bullets to load them in my Ruger LCT. I think Baseball bat is a best self defense weapon after the gun.

In Australia we have replaced self defense with victims of crime compensation so if you survive the government pays you.
